A recovered COVID-19 patient surnamed Wang donated 200 mm of plasma at a designated collection center of the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center, on Tuesday. Wang told the Global Times he wants to help other patients, after medical staff in Shanghai treated and helped him recover. A total of 12 recovered patients have donated their plasma in Shanghai as of March 3. The plasma of recovered patients contains antibodies that might be effective against the coronavirus, experts said.
