Editor's Note:
With the COVID-19 epidemic showing signs of improvement in Beijing, catering industries are gradually restoring their dining services. In Shaguoju and Liuquanju, two catering brands under Jude Huatian Holding Co Ltd, customers will have their temperatures taken at the entrance and groups with more than three will be arranged at different tables to avoid face-to-face contact. At the front desk, hand washing sanitizers are provided to customers free of charge. Notices reading “Keep distance” and “No cash payment” can seen everywhere in dining halls.
Beijing released guidelines for the city’s catering services on March 14 for all catering industries, restaurants, cafeterias and online catering service third-party platforms. According to the guidelines, restaurants should control the number of diners, set up “one-meter signs” in dining halls, waiting areas or in pick-up areas to remind customers keep to distances. Tables should be placed in intervals of at least one meter. In addition, companies should also record the health prognosis of every staff member and display the information to the public.
