With the resumption of production and work in Wuhan, Hubei Province, central China, many small and medium-sized enterprises and self-employed individuals have resumed operations.
However, due to the severe impact of the epidemic on the economy, many companies and self-employed individuals are facing tremendous economic pressure during this resumption phase. There's a sharp decline in orders, and firms are unable to pay wages and rent. This year has been tough, they say, with hopes to tide over the challenging phase eventually. Photos: Li Hao/GT
