Wuhan's Baibuting community was controversial for its large-scale banquet held before the city imposed lockdown at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak. After the city revoked its 76-day lockdown, GT reporter visited this community and found that life there is no different from other residential compounds in the city. Some shops along the road have resumed business, community residents freely walk in the park and some residents buy daily necessities in supermarkets. Residents shrugged off rumors that the place recorded far more cases of infection than anywhere else, saying the outside had some misunderstandings about Baibuting during the epidemic.
