The Global Times reporter observed on Saturday that people were gathering in front of stores for their favorite local foods. A salesperson at one store said that normally in past years foot traffic used to increase around 7 or 8 o’clock at night. On this evening, hundreds of guests were queueing up in the night market. For now, in order to meet COVID-19 prevention requirements for dine-in eating, the distance between seats has been increased, so the number of seats has dropped significantly to only one-third compared with that of last year.
