Students from Gucheng middle school in Beijing's Shijingshan district are busy packing their personal belongings and textbooks to take home due to the rising number of COVID-19 infections in the city. As of Tuesday, Beijing has raised its COVID-19 emergency response to level 2, meaning that Beijing will suspend on-campus classes for all primary, middle, and high school students effective immediately.
