The skywalk at Shougang Industrial Park in Beijing officially opened to the public on Saturday. Visitors can look at the landscape of Shougang's industrial remains from above and the landscape of the Winter Olympic Park from the 14-meter-high observation deck. This aerial walkway was transformed from a previous industrial pipe corridor, which further demonstrates the green transformation and upgrade of Shougang Park, the burning heart of Beijing’s industrial complex in the past. Cooling towers are being transformed into Olympic venues, blast furnaces into training centers and an iron ore storage tower has become home of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
