While the demand for protective masks remains high during the coronavirus pandemic, sales of scary Halloween masks destined for trick-or-treating countries are way down.
China is the source of most Halloween masks and one of the companies in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province says their export sales have slumped about 40% this year due to what are likely to be largely curtailed festival activities. The company says next year -- once the pandemic subsidies – demand will return to normal, as China has the leading Halloween mask manufacturing chain. (Photo: Yang Hui/GT)
