Exhibiton of 107 pictures by Russian female photographers of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 opens at Museum of the War of People’s Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in Beijing Sunday, China’s 7th National Memorial Day for Nanjing Massacre Victims.
Chinese and Russians attended the exhibition opening ceremony, during which silent mourning was observed and flowers were presented to pay tribute to victims of World War II.
Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Ivanovich Denisov delivered a Jubilee Medal “75 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945” issued by President Vladimir Putin to the museum, the first time the medal was awarded to an institution instead of an individual.
