Editor's Note:
The 40-day Spring Festival travel rush, or chunyun, started on January 28 this year amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Compared with chunyun of the previous years, there are much fewer passengers at Shanghai Railway Station over the first weekend of chunyun this year. All the passengers entering the station must show health codes and have their body temperatures checked. Those with abnormal body temperatures will be transported by ambulance to nearby isolation sites for medical observation. Photos: Chen Xia/GT
