It’s the first day of school! Students entered Shanghai Huangpu Luwan No.1 Central Primary School on February 22, the first day of the new semester, in an orderly manner after having their temperatures checked, even though the entire city is now a low-risk region for COVID-19. Students and teachers attended a flag-raising ceremony in the school. The new semester also started in kindergartens across the city on Monday. At the China Welfare Institute Nursery, teachers played cartoon characters to welcome their students. They also reminded children to wash their hands and get their temperatures checked. Children brought home-made lanterns to schools for the upcoming Lantern Festival.
