People from all walks of life in Beijing are getting ready for this year’s Fourth Plenary Session of the 13th NPC and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the most important annual political event in China—collectively known as the two sessions, which will start tomorrow. Security in the city has been upgraded, and resident volunteers can be seen on the streets.
