Unveiling the secrets of the 3,000-year-old Sanxingdui Ruins

Chinese archaeologists announced new findings from the 3,000-year-old Sanxingdui Ruins on Saturday, unearthing more than 500 items, including a golden mask, from 6 newly-discovered sacrificial pits. The Sanxingdui Ruins are situated in Guanghan, Southwest China's Sichuan Province, and became renowned after large numbers of rare gold and bronze cultural relics were excavated from the ruins in 1986.
