A photo exhibition on the theme of the happy lives of people from different ethnic groups in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region opened at the CFLAC exhibition hall in Beijing on Monday, and will run until March 31.

Showcasing Xinjiang's natural beauty, humanistic beauty and people’s happy lives, the more than 100 photos showed that Xinjiang has made historic achievements in an all-round well-off society and against poverty.

The show is the result of a collaboration between the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC) and the China Photographers Association (CPA), which arranged for nearly 20 photographers to visit and discover the remote region last September. Photos: Li Hao/GT
