July 20 marks the beginning of this year’s Corban Festival, also known as Eid al-Adha or the Festival of Sacrifice. Muslims in Beijing city gathered at the Niujie Mosque, dressed up, holding religious rituals, slaughtering livestock, and visiting relatives and friends.
