Quanzhou was dubbed "a museum of the world’s religions" for its thriving and diverse religious cultures, including Buddhism, Taoism, Islam, Christianity and Catholicism. Religion is an important part of Quanzhou, the newly added World Heritage site.
Generations of disciples and believers of different religions and sects constructed multiple temples and monasteries, such as Kaiyuan Temple, Qingjing Mosque and Tianhou Temple.
