The women’s single skating short program competition finished on Tuesday with 25 out of 30 competitors qualifying for the free skating round scheduled for Thursday.

Skating phenomenon Kamila Valieva of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) ranked first with 82.16 points, followed by her teammate Anna Shcherbakova and Japanese skater Kaori Sakamoto.
