International marathon contest held in Yunnan's Tengchong

The 2016 Mt Gaoligong Ultra competition, an international cross-country marathon, kicked off in Tengchong, Southwest China’s Yunnan Province on November 18, with athletes traversing an area containing 8,800 meters of total elevation change.
A total of 57 athletes joined the contest, where they were required to run 168.5 kilometers in 36 hours. Dan Lawson from the UK and Mick Thwaites from Australia crossed the finish line simultaneously in a time of 21 hours and 57 minutes to be crowned joint winners.
