Public transport including buses, subways and taxis/ride-hailing has resumed service in Beijing’s Chaoyang, Shunyi and Fangshan districts starting May 29, 2022, except in specific communities. Public transport stations located in the lock-down/control neighborhoods are still closed – vehicles will not stop at the stations. Previously Beijing suspended public transport service for some areas in epidemic control efforts. Beijing's subway system ran smoothly during the morning rush hour on the first working day after restoration.
