The week-long 12th Beijing International Film Festival kicked off at Beijing’s Yanqi Lake International Convention Center on Saturday. 16 nominated films will compete for this year’s Tiantan Award. Seven well-known figures in the global film industry, including Chinese actor Li Xuejian, Italian director and producer Michelangelo Frammartino, and Argentine filmmaker Lucrecia Martel, will be jury members for the Tiantan Awards.
