History and People’s Choice, a Chinese red drama inspired by true stories made its debut at Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center on Thursday night.

The drama follows how the Communist Party of China (CPC) expanded the patriotic united front and united with all forces that could be united in the 1940s and led Chinese people to a better life.

The show also makes use of video technology to enhance the visual experience on stage and to better depict the country’s real history for audiences. Photos: Li Hao/GT
