Beijing Capital International Airport on Sunday resumed its long-awaited hustle and bustle embracing the first day China downgraded its COVID-19 management from Class A to B. GT reporters saw airport staff getting ready to welcome the first overseas flight carrying 291 passengers from Hong Kong, which is expected to arrive at around 10:40 am. On the first day of the downgrading, the Beijing Capital International Airport is scheduled to see a total of 10 flights arriving from abroad or China's Hong Kong/Macao/Taiwan regions, eight at Terminal 3 and two at Terminal 2.
According to an announcement of the National Immigration Administration, the 24/144-hour visa-free transit policy will resume at Beijing port starting from Sunday, with five special windows being set up at the border inspection point at T3-E accepting applications for temporary entry permits.
