The 21st Beijing International Book Festival and the 29th Beijing International Book Fair will be held from June 15 to 18, 2023 at the National Convention Center. The event will feature 10 main themed areas and a series of cultural lectures and "bookstore nights." The main venue will showcase over 2,000 types of books and nearly 10,000 copies of various publications, including important works by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, books on Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and on the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC. The event will also feature a sales area for over 400 domestic and foreign publishing institutions, showcasing more than 100,000 high-quality publications. For the first time, an imported original book sales area will be set up, featuring 3,000 best-selling books and magazines from 300 well-known overseas publishers, including Harry Potter and other famous IPs. In addition, a children's reading area will be created, integrating book reading, game interaction, and activities to provide a fun and immersive cultural experience for children and cultivate their reading habits.
