On August 2nd, the railway line connecting Fengtai District of Beijing and Shacheng Town in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, was hit by a mudslide in tunnels 3-4 of the Fengsha Line. The roadbed suffered severe collapse. The China Academy of Railway Sciences and the Specialized Company of Railway Construction Research Institute carried out emergency repairs. The construction team arrived at 9 pm Tuesday night and set up 2,000 wooden sleepers to support the railway line. Currently, the track is being restored. Photos: Li Hao/GT
