The opening ceremony of "The Spirit of Galloping Horses: Exhibition of Traditional Chinese Paintings by Xu Beihong" was held on Aug 19 at the National Art Museum of China. Co-hosted by the National Art Museum of China and the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guizhou Province, the exhibition showcases over 40 pieces of Xu Beihong's traditional Chinese paintings and calligraphy from different periods. Xu Beihong, who had visited Guizhou multiple times, creatively explored painting on Guizhou joss paper, creating a unique artistic space where the paper, water, color, and ink blend together. Many of his masterpieces are now housed in the Guizhou Provincial Museum. Additionally, the exhibition also features works by other painters from Guizhou, created on Guizhou joss paper.
