In 2022, Beijing's physical bookstore support policy benefited various types of bookstores in different districts of the city and accumulated sufficient strength for the recovery of the bookstore market. By the end of 2022, the number of physical bookstores in Beijing had exceeded 2,000. In 2023, the work of the book capital continues to be implemented by consolidating the achievements of the construction of physical bookstores. The aim is to continue supporting physical bookstores, enhancing their profitability, innovation, competitiveness, and social influence, and promoting the construction of Beijing's national cultural center.
