On Sep 24, the Beijing Archaeological Institute organized an Open Day at Tranquil Site, the Old Summer Palace, or Yuanmingyuan, in Beijing. Part of the city’s 2023 Science Carnival, it welcomed 25 visitors to engage with experts, witness excavations and experience the charm of archaeology.
