This year’s Shanghai chrysanthemum festival is underway at the Gongqing Forest Park, and will run until November 26. A total of 180,000 pots of chrysanthemum flowers from more than 500 species are blooming in the park, making it a good choice for local residents looking to enjoy autumn scenery. With green development and environmental protection in mind, the organizers used many environmentally friendly materials such as bamboo, wood and vine to decorate the exhibition venues, as an effort to promote the concept of ecological civilization featuring harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
