Journalists from more than 30 countries visited the time-honored Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), one of China's top universities, on Wednesday. They toured SJTU's history museum and shared their experiences and thoughts on reporting China with international students. Some of the journalists told the Global Times that they were very impressed by the development of China's education, particularly in the science and engineering fields, and the importance the country places on higher education. The journalists, who also covered this year's China International Import Expo (CIIE) this week, spoke highly of the expo, considering it a beneficial platform for foreign companies to promote their products and services to the vast Chinese market.
