China’s first anti-drug-themed dance drama, Breaking the Ice, is scheduled to be staged at the Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center from March 1 to 3, as announced during a media event held by the production company Beijing Dance Drama & Opera on Wednesday. Inspired by China’s popular anti-drug TV series, The Thunder, and real-life cases, the dance drama narrates the story of two generations of China’s police officers who fearlessly confront hardships and dismantle the underground drug trafficking network through relentless efforts.
