Focused on the life of Liu Zongyuan, one of the "The Eight Great Masters" (eight literal masters in the Tang and Song dynasties), the opera showcased his unwavering dedication despite career setbacks. Prior to the performance, actors delighted the audience with Tang poetry and Dong minority dances, offering a glimpse into Guangxi's vibrant culture.
