NIO’s Second Advanced Manufacturing Base in Hefei, East China's Anhui Province, is a must-visit for new-energy vehicle (NEV) enthusiasts. The base is known as a smart factory. The base includes a garage that can accommodate 246 vehicle frames and resembles a "Rubik's Cube." The base owns the world's largest NIO House in China, where the brand’s vehicles are on display and can be purchased and customers can enjoy a comfortable environment. According to the company, the fully automated manufacturing line of the base has greatly increased production speed to the point where a car is rolling off the production line every minute and it only takes 14 days for a personalized customized vehicle to leave the factory. A local NEV brand, the rise of NIO represents a vivid example of Hefei's efforts to build itself into an NEV manufacturing hub.
