The inaugural "Olympic Qualifier Series (OQS) - Shanghai" is being held along the city's iconic Huangpu riverside from Thursday to Sunday. Drawing 464 elite athletes, including seven Tokyo 2020 Olympic champions, this event serves as a crucial battleground for securing spots in the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympic Games. The competitors, split evenly between men and women,compete in BMX freestyle, breaking, skateboarding and sport climbing. Notably, this is the first-ever OQS event being held to serve as a final qualification stage for these four sports for the Olympic Games.
