Editor's Note:
Fourteen-year-old Changpa Khenrab Chokyi Wangchuk is a reincarnated Living Buddha of an influential monastery in Shannan, Southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, and also a student in the class for young Living Buddhas at the Xizang Buddhism Academy. Located in the suburbs of Lhasa, the academy was established in 2011, providing monks and nuns with modern general education and religious studies and training. There are nine young Living Buddhas in Changpa Khenrab's class, coming from the Xizang Autonomous Region and nearby Yunnan Province. Photos: Shan Jie/GT
