On June 20, 2024, the Buddhist Association of China held an event to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the completion of the Tooth Relic Pagoda at Lingguang Temple, or Temple of Divine Light, in Beijing. The tooth relic in the temple is one of the two Buddha's teeth in the world. Representatives of the Buddhist community from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam, and representatives of the three major languages of Buddhism in China gathered in front of the Tooth Buddha Pagoda to hold a prayer meeting for world peace and pray for peace, tranquility and people's happiness and well-being. On the same day, activities such as a photo exhibition of the Buddhist Tooth Relic, friendly exchanges and a symposium on interactions between Buddhist communities of different countries were also held.
