The Chinese Jian Kiln and Jian Teacup Cultural Exhibition kicked off at the National Museum of China on June 26. The exhibition features 135 pieces of ancient Jian kiln teawares and 298 contemporary Jian kiln craft items. The Jian teaware-making techniques originated in the late Tang and Five Dynasties periods and flourished during the Northern and Southern Song Dynasties.
