With the continuous high temperatures, lotus flowers in Beijing's parks are in full bloom, attracting lots of residents and tourists. Since April of this year, the average temperature around Beijing has been slightly higher than last year; this fact, coupled with the recent continuous high temperatures, caused the blooming period of lotus flowers to start half a month earlier. However, the peak blooming period is still expected to be in July and August.
