Editor's Note:
On July 8, as Beijing continues to endure a combination of high temperatures and thunderstorms since the start of the Lesser Heat solar term, the city has experienced increased humidity and an intense feeling of muggy heat. In response, more residents and tourists are flocking to waterfronts, public fountains, shopping centers, and open-air night markets to find respite. People are enjoying water activities, shopping, and dining out in hopes of escaping the oppressive "sauna weather." (Photo: Chen Tao/GT)
