This year, August 10 marks China’s Qixi Festival, also known as Chinese Valentine’s Day. To celebrate, many museums in Beijing are hosting special activities, inviting residents to engage in traditional cultural experiences. For example, the Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture is offering opportunities for visitors to read classic literature and learn traditional skills like making rubbings. Meanwhile, the Beijing Folklore Museum is providing hands-on experiences for making Qiao Guo, a traditional Chinese pastry.
