On August 10, the Chinese team, consisting of Chen Meng, Sun Yingsha, and Wang Manyu, won the gold medal in the women's team table tennis final at the Paris Olympic Games by defeating Japan 3-0. This victory marks China's fifth consecutive Olympic women's team championship. Team China has now won all 5 gold medals in the table tennis competition at the Paris Olympics. Additionally, this win brings China's total gold medal count at the Paris Olympic Games to 37 and marks the 300th gold medal for the Chinese sports delegation in Summer Olympics history.
