On October 11, the Beijing Folk Museum hosted a variety of cultural activities for the Chongyang Festival. The Chongyang Festival, also known as the Double Ninth Festival as it falls on the ninth day of the ninth month in Chinese lunar calendar, is an annual festival to show respect and care for the elderly throughout China. Visitors enjoyed talks on traditional culture, hands-on intangible cultural heritage workshops, artistic performances, and chrysanthemum displays, all designed to immerse participants in the traditions and values of this time-honored festival, particularly in honoring the elderly.
