The exhibition “The Greeks: Agamemnon to Alexander the Great” opened today at the Capital Museum in Beijing. The exhibition features 270 artifacts from 14 museums and cultural institutions across Greece, offering Chinese audiences a glimpse into the evolution of ancient Greek civilization from the Neolithic period to its Hellenistic era. Among the exhibits is a fragment of a stone column that was discovered from China’s Sixteen Kingdoms period. It is remarkably similar to Greek architectural styles, highlighting an intriguing cultural dialogue across time and space. The exhibition runs until May 2025. Photos: Li Hao/GT
