On December 21, also the Winter Solstice of China’s 24 solar terms, the Qingcheng Palace at Beijing's Xiannongtan Temple, which has a history of over 560 years, opened to the public for the first time. Originally named as Zhaigong, Qingcheng Palace was a place where the emperors fast before worship.
