Editor's Note:
Shanghai residents and tourists lined up in front of several time-honored stores to buy qingtuan, a traditional Chinese snack made of glutinous rice mixed with mugwort or barley grass or red bean, on Wednesday. Originally a seasonal delicacy for the Qingming Festival, in recent years qingtuan has introduced many new diverse flavors thanks to a wave of innovation among these time-honored brands. This year's Qingming Festival falls on April 4. (Photos: Chen Xia/GT)
