Editor's Note:
Giant panda Shulan arrived at the Dujiangyan base of the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda, the world's only "nursing home" for elderly pandas, on March 16, 2017. Shulan will undergo a comprehensive physical examination at the base once it has acclimatized to its new surroundings. A careful management and health care program has been devised to ensure Shulan remains healthy over its twilight years, according to staff at the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda.
