Greece's Ekaterini Stefanidi claimed gold in the women's pole vault at the Rio Olympics on Friday, beating Sandi Morris of the United States to the silver.
Both Stefanidi and Morris cleared 4.85 on their second attempt, and the 26-year-old Greek was awarded victory on a countback as she succeeded in 4.70 meters on her first try, while Morris made it on her second attempt.
The bronze medal was the similar case as both Eliza McCartney of New Zealand and Alana Boyd of Australia cleared 4.80 meters, and McCartney took the bronze due to her first attempt success and Boyd only made it on her second second try.
