Over the past years the number of patients she ever nursed exceeds 10,000. In 2015, she was awarded the Florence Nightingale Medal for outstanding contributions to health care. During her long-term medical practice, Du believes that a complete medical service system is indispensable to basic social security. In her spare time, she often provides free diagnosis for people in communities, raising their awareness of health. As a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Du is dedicated to promotion of the primary medical service.
