The press conference for 2018 Sino-Russian Film Festival took place at Russian Cultural Center in Beijing on July 12, unveiling the festival which will be held in Beijing and Wuhan, Hubei Province from July 13 to 28. Supported by the Russian Cultural Ministry, the State Administration of Radio and Television of China, the Russian Embassy in Beijing and the Russian Cultural Center, the purpose of the event is to strengthen cooperation in the film industry on both sides and give Chinese audiences a better understanding of Russian culture. Under the framework of the festival, representatives from the Russian film industry will meet with their Chinese counterparts during the event. Russian films, such as
Salyut-7 (2017),
Duelist (2016),
Thawed Carp (2018),
The Night Watchmen (2016) and
Dance to Death (2017) will be shown during the festival.
