An article published by Asia News Network on Monday stated that the balance of payments (BOP) surplus for South Korea's K-pop related business has recovered to levels seen before the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) installation in 2016. The article noted that improved China-South Korea diplomatic relations and the recent massive success of K-pop boy group BTS worldwide contributed to the recovery.

The recent breakout success of BTS around the world has sparked discussion about what Chinese bands, such as WayV, can learn from their South Korean counter parts.

Producing catchy tunes and putting on highly choreographed performances have been the keys to BTS' success so far.

Judging from comments left below WayV's music videos on YouTube, the band's music and choreography are up to par, while the fact that several members can speak languages besides Chinese, such as English, Korean, German and Thai, is sure to help them promote themselves in the international market.

If the band stays on the right track and collaborates with famous international artists, similar to how BTS does, this is sure to contribute to their development as well.
