A Chinese peacekeeper posted in Mali is doing all she can to remotely encourage her son and his classmates as they prepare for the national college entrance exams known as the gaokao which takes place next month.

The peacekeeper may be on a dangerous mission in Africa but her son, surnamed Zheng, is under a lot of stress, as are millions of China's high school grads about to sit the gaokao

To encourage Zheng, who lives in North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, his mom sent a group photo of what appears to be her entire 37-member troop. Some soldiers in the front row pose with their hands in the shape of a heart, while the back row of peacekeepers hold their rifles on their shoulders pointing to the sky.

The photo was sent with an inspirational message that reads: "Be an eagle flying high in the sky and have a bright future."

Zheng's mom also recorded a video message that was presented during the school's graduation ceremony.

The peacekeeper mom, who was not named in the Beijing Evening New article, told the high school grads that "the world is not peaceful, but you are lucky to be born in China."

Many netizens appreciated the mom's efforts but jokingly suggested the peacekeepers holding guns in the photo might cause the son even more stress.

"The son dares not fail in his test, or he might be taken to the training ground to practice shooting with his mom's colleagues," one of netizen wrote.

Net users also gave best wishes to these peacekeepers.
